When the entries of the weaving competition came in, I was looking at some spiral art and chord music art, I think it would be fun to make some simple and lightweight earrings and a pendant necklace using 3D print chord music
I did a very basic triangle design, but of course you can try other interesting designs with this technique.

In addition to the 3D printing design I\'m talking about next, you need the following supplies.
Also, even though I have 3D printed the base, I believe the base can be created in a number of ways, including manual cutting of plastic or other materials or laser cutting.
Supply ESI created these designs using Tinkercad and I started with the basic size and shape of the earrings.
I ended up with a 26mm cylinder with a cut of 22.
5mm, thickness 1. 30mm (about 6 layers)
Next, I need to create the cutouts for the string loop.
I made a cylinder of number 1.
52mm in diameter.
I know I want them in increments of 3 in order to get the pattern I want, but I find it easier to place them evenly in even numbers, so I start with two, divide them up and down evenly.
I put these two cylinders together.
Now that I have two, I can copy them and rotate them evenly.
I have 3 increments once I have 6, so I group these 6 together, copy and rotate them until I have as many holes as I can reasonably
Center everything to make sure everything is evenly spaced.
Divide them into groups.
Once I cut them off, I knew I wanted a space at the top of the ring, so I rotated it so I could have a space between the holes at the top.
Now that my space is on it, I created a loop that connects the earrings.
I\'m using the cylinder number 2.
The diameter is 40mm and the cut is 1.
52mm in diameter.
Group it and you will have earrings.
I repeated the process for the necklace, but since it is much larger, there are more cuts around me.
The size of the pendant includes: 38.
50mm cylinder 35.
00mm cut and 1. 3mm thick.
Small circle cut at 1 point. 52mm. 2.
The diameter is 40mm laps, with 1. 52mm cutout.
Print your base.
You need two earrings and a pendant.
I print out both so you can look at it.
You don\'t need to do too many special things when slicing, but I think I did 1 profile and 100% padding. [
I wrap me this way, if you come up with another way, please share it in the comments/part I do! ]
For each earring, I need a pendant of about 25 \"ropes and about 73.
For the pendant, I have no problem with the color change, but for the earrings, if you are using the color line, if you want a good design, make sure the color changes in the middle. ----------------------------------------------------------
Packaging can be confusing.
To make it easier, I made a digital chart on this white one for reference.
For this part you need your print, rope, tapestries needle and glue.
I\'ll give you the number mode, but what\'s important is that you hit 3 first numbers 24, 8, 16 and then turn to the number on the right as you move around.
So to get started, you need to put the end of the rope behind and hang it behind 15.
Put it in the back, take it to 24 and wrap it around the front.
Take it through the center of the circle so you go back to the back and take it to the front of 8.
Take it through the center of the circle to the front of the 16 th.
Take it right through the center of the circle (
Make sure you always bring it right away so it will lag behind the other strings and it will be more obvious when you have more strings)
And take it to the front of 1.
This is where I stuck the rope at the back of 15.
Let it dry before you finish the string.
You can stick it right after 15 and I just found out that doing the first round of packaging helps to fix things in place.
The rest of the order is :(
Glue behind 15, 24, 8, 16, 1)
Through 9, 17, 2, 10, 18, 3, 11, 19, 4, 12, 20, 5, 13, 21, 6, 14, 22, 7, 15, 23 center, go back to the back of 8 and stick the rope to the back of 8.
I don\'t have the chart for the pendant, but it\'s the same way, just the numbers are different because there are more.
Sequence: starting with the rope behind 31, this is where you stick it, wrapped to the front of 48, 16, 32, 1, 17, 33, 2, 18, 34, 3,19, 35, 4, 20, 36, 5, 21, 37, 6, 22, 38, 7, 23, 39, 8, 24, 40, 9, 25, 41, 10, 26, 42, 11, 27, 43, 12, 28, 44 13, 29, 45, 14, 30, 46, 15, 31, 47, pass it through center, bring to the back of 16 to stick.
Once your work is strung together, glued together and dried, you can turn them into jewelry!
You should be able to put the earrings on the hook.
For the necklace, I put the pendant on a larger jump ring and use a chain I cut (I did about 16 \")
, Then add a big jump ring at one end of the chain, and a buckle at the other end.
Here is a look that shows you before and after the string, and also a different style look of the base I designed.
I created this style with holes because I think the other style is too delicate and the rope won\'t stay but it looks good. (
Ignoring the black and white right earrings, I messed up to some extent and didn\'t notice until I finished and stuck together. )
